    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Judson is growing and has a great opportunity for someone to grow with the organization. The successful candidate will be a part of a team that is responsible for the assembly of packaged infrared detector devices for commercial, space, and military applications.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assembly of small electronic components under a microscope to build high reliability custom/space and standard packages.
    • Maintains a log of material handled for tracing purposes.
    • Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule.
    • Reports defective materials and/or questionable conditions to supervision.

     

    Qualifications

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

    • Knowledge of the operation of bonding and assembly
    • Understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the following:
      • Ability to read manufacturing drawings
      • Assembly-related operations such as:
        • Wire bonding
        • Soldering
        • Use of measuring microscope
        • Epoxy applications
        • Resistance welding
      • ESD handling
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
    • Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

     

     

    Education and/or Experience                           

    • HS Diploma & 5-10 years of experience
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas :
        • Ability to read drawings
        • Wire bonding
        • Soldering and Assembly
    • Epoxy types and applications
    • Experience in high vacuum package manipulation a plus.

     

     

     

    Other Qualifications:

    • U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data

    ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.
