    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking a Contracts Administrator with Commercial and Government experience to provide contracts and administrative support. This position will assist with contract review ensuring compliance with Teledyne standards and guidelines within a fast-paced environment. He/she must be organized with a high degree of accuracy, business acumen and office decorum.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Administer all aspects of the Contracts Department daily administrative routines reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Manager including, but not limited to:

    • Review and analyze Commercial and Government Contracts focusing on terms and conditions
    • Redline contracts for compliance with all applicable corporate policies, procedures and processes
    • Maintain System for Award Management registrations for the corresponding business units
    • Draft Special Terms and Condition Memos as required
    • Draft and maintain Nondisclosure Agreements and database
    • Assist in drafting and updating Contracts policy and procedure processes
    • Provide company-wide Contracts training
    • Draft authorization, visa and letters of correspondence
    • Edit Teledyne North Falmouth Sales Representative and Terms and Conditions website
    • Act as back-up when other Contracts personnel are out of the office
    • Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a U.S. Person

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university (Science, Legal/Contracts or Business) and 5 years of experience in a Professional, Legal or Corporate Contracts environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
    • Juris Doctor Degree is preferred
    • Ability to review and understand sales/contracts transactions addressing both legal and business concerns
    • Accuracy, attention to detail and impeccable proof reading/editing skills strongly desired 

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to read, interpret and analyze Commercial/Government Contracts and Legal documents
    • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to deal effectively with Sales (internal and external) demonstrating excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems utilizing the contract desk references and contracts training
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress
    • Accuracy and attention to detail applying a solid understanding of core contract terminology
    • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) and Representations/Certifications
    • Computer literate, and familiar with MS Office Suite
    • Experience with document management systems preferred
