    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Leads the Systems Engineering discipline in the design and packaging of visible and infrared Imaging Systems and Focal Plane Arrays.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • Acts as the Systems Engineering lead in the design, fabrication, assembly and delivery of imaging systems
    • Interacts with customers to meet specifications through meetings and Telecons
    • Holds milestone reviews with customers under the direction of Program Management
    • Performs risk analysis and management
    • Composes interface control documents, TIS specifications and Environmental Quality test plans
    • Analyzes the Verification and Validation Matrix
    • Works with supplier liaison to generate SOW to meet EIDP
    • Prepares Deliverable End Item Data packages
    • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
    • Work with Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems for managing drawings and bills of materials

    Qualifications

    Qualifications & Competencies  

                                                     

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

    • Have experience with sensor product requirements, understand methodologies for how to verify requirements by test, analysis, inspection or demonstration
    • Understanding of Cryogenic IR Sensor products
    • Ability to identify and assess risks
    • Skills in test of infrared sensor
    • Ability to use skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
    • Capability to independently determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
    • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

     

     

    Education and/or Experience

                                                     

    • Master’s Degree in Engineering with three (3) years of related technical experience of Ph.D. in related technical field

     

     

    Other Qualifications:  

    • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
    • U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data

    ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.
