    Teledyne Controls is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer with proven experience working with cross-functional teams through the entire product security development cycle from inception to entry into service.  This role will be responsible for leading and coordinating product security engineering development, requirements, trade studies, analysis, integration, V&V, and support activities.

    The successful candidate serve as a hands-on technical resource with a strong project engineering perspective.  In addition, the ability to communicate across all engineering disciplines, as well a quality, manufacturing and senior management levels within and outside the company.  The successful candidate should demonstrate experience with leading and conducting penetration and vulnerability assessments of applications and products as well as architecture responsibilities as well as possess experience working in highly regulated industries.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

    • Implement the policies for all aspects of information security across the enterprise and production environments.
    • Lead development of security architectures, requirements and test procedures.
    • Create Systems Requirements Specifications (SRS) from customer requirements.
    • Functionally allocates requirements and determine regulatory compliance status.
    • Conduct internal/external penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
    • Assist with creating information security policies.
    • Make solutions for day to day network security activities.
    • Design and build the security infrastructure for multiple projects.
    • Test and deploy new security technology.
    • Represent Teledyne Controls in Aviation Security committees and security industry conferences

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.  Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience functioning as a security engineer or SME for a large production operation.
    • Knowledge with at least one object-oriented language (i.e. C++, JAVA, Python)

    • Knowledge of network routers
    • Proficient with the following types of security tools:
    • Vulnerability scanners
      • Security event logging & Monitoring Analyzers
      • Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) and firewall logs
      • Performs system and network security audits
      • Anti-virus products and Central Console
    • Security Certifications preferred: CISSP, Security +, Network +, MCSE, GIAC, OSCP, CEH, GPEN
    • Basic knowledge with threat modeling, risk and threat analysis, contingency planning, creating security standards, and various security tools Understanding of TCP/IP, Linux, network/system intrusion techniques, firewalls and VPNs
    • Knowledge of NIST and ISO27001 standards. Knowledge of Aviation security standards and guidance preferred.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • This position may require domestic or international travel (25%).
